We have a Minecraft Survival Multi-Player server running on this machine.
With a handful of rather dedicated, if not obsessed, players hacking away at the blocks with all of their spare time the world is growing at a pretty amazing pace. You can take a look at our progress if you'd like by clicking on the jpg links below to some isometric maps generated by Cartograph, which is a rather nice piece of software.
I hope to update this on a daily basis, but it is a bit more labor-intensive than I'd care for, so we'll see how that goes. Contact me if you'd like other types of maps generated.
There are no particular rules I'd care to mention, but play nice and be mindful of other people's space and hard work. Everybody is really being super cool and I think we're doing really well for it.
Did I mention that I'd love for somebody to actually do some css for this page that doesn't suck? A nice multi-column layout that keeps the essential style and color is what I'm after. Let me know if you feel up to it.
Thanks to the players for making the world possible.

10 Jan 2011 News:Happy New Year! Map updates can FINALLY resume. The software is, once again, working. BUILD.
01 Nov 2010 News: For the love of god somebody stop Zoth before he completely snaps and takes over the universe. On second thought... well, let him go ahead.
23 Oct 2010 News: New screens posted: see the Groups thread (that I'm about to start) for details on the Lavapig Incident. TL;DR: BE CAREFUL WITH FIRE. Robdgreat also finished the stylesheet/html cleanup, you may have noticed, and the page got a nifty new background. Neat, huh?
22 Oct 2010 News: Sorry, no maps/data for the 20th/21st due to nobody being able to play, thanks to whatever jerks were DDoSing minecraft.net. 19 Oct and 22nd Oct maps/stats posted, though.
19 Oct 2010 News: Did I say 47mb? I meant to say 86mb. Woops.

13 Oct 2010 News: I'm about a day off on the map builds, but as a consolation prize I posted a new cave
overlay image and the most recent stats generated, if you're interested in some random facts about the world; mostly, it's
block type counts.
Should I install a phpBB bulletin board?
12 Oct 2010 News: Sorry for the state of the web page. I'm still working on it, and robdgreat is actually working on fixing my god-awful css a little bit. Meanwhile I'm going to keep experimenting with layouts til I find something that I actually don't hate with a flaming passion. I'm going to add a feedback contact form to this page later, as well, so you can contact me if you don't know my email address. Still taking suggestions for the site and server.
11 Oct 2010 News: The world file is now over 47MB. That's pretty huge: certainly bigger than any single-player world I've built so far myself.
If you're interested in taking screencaps easily/without editing, I've been using Gadwin PrintScreen (freeware version). It can capture specific windows only and automatically name files into several formats. Quite handy.
